With the warmer weather we are getting out more with our pets. Dogs can get lost or stolen. Cats tend to wander father afield hunting and occasionally asserting their role as property boundary patrol. We recommend that every pet wear a collar with ID tags or have a microchip for permanent identification. Cats should wear a safety collar that will release if they happen to get caught on a tree branch or a fence. Many collars also have reflective materials that make our pets easier for motorists to see at night. Microchips are inexpensive, easy to place, and are well tolerated by pets. Animal control officers, animal shelters, and most veterinary clinics can scan your pet if found, allowing them to contact you quickly. Please ask your veterinarian about microchipping your pet today.
