At Gallatin Veterinary Hospital we strive to offer the highest quality in veterinary dental care. We have digital dental x-rays, a designated dental surgery suite, the ability to rapidly consult with a boarded veterinary dentist, and our doctors and staff have undergone specialized dental training in order to provide the highest standard of care. In addition, during the dental procedure, all patients are placed on intravenous fluids, warmed with warming pads and blankets, and a technician is specifically designated to monitor the patient's vital parameters (blood pressure, oxygenation, heart rate, temperature) in order to make anesthesia as safe as possible.
Dental Care
Healthy teeth play a major role in the well-being of your pet. Bad breath may be a sign of dental disease. Gingivitis, tartar, and periodontal disease can release bacteria into the bloodstream which can stress internal organs and lead to systemic disease. Starting with your pet's first exam, our doctors will check your pet's mouth for any signs of discomfort or disease. Your doctor will set up an individualized plan for your pet's healthy teeth and mouth.
